This is a role with a difference! Are you a Quantity Surveyor, with a Main Contractor background, looking to get into the consultancy world? Well, this might be the role for you.

We’re working closely with a boutique consultancy in South Manchester who are doing things a little differently. From front end development to Project Management, Town Planning and Cost Management, they offer strategic and collaborative advice to their growing army of clients.

With a pipeline of work ranging from £1m to £100m projects, you can be sure to be working on some exciting stuff… New Build Hotels, smaller residential developments, mega commercial schemes and some innovative assisted living work, no two days will be the same. You’ll be joining a small, and growing, team of 12, reporting into the business owner, with the opportunity to build out your very own team.

What we need:

Someone who would like to experience a different side to contracting. Being the developer contractor consultant provides you with full control from start to finish, having a real influence on design decisions and bringing subcontractors to the table early. Packages will be procured as the design progresses and you’ll influence the selection process based on quality over price. Once onsite, you’ll have full control of the payment, and a layer of complexity is removed as there is no client side quantity surveyor, which allows us to offer unmatched payment terms to the supply chain.

Energy, enthusiasm and commitment are as important as experience in this role. We are looking for someone who is competent and able to perform their day to day role, whilst also able to seamlessly integrate into the team.

Ideally you will be RICS degree qualified and working towards MRICS status, and you will have some experience within the residential sector. A full UK driving licence and ability to travel is also necessary.
